What is the Republic of South Africa?

I am reading in disbelief what is being written about South Africa (RSA) in public sources and media. If my business friends and acquaintances who live and invest there read this, they probably wouldn't speak to me again 😱☹️😭

I very often hear opinions that people wouldn't travel to this country due to concerns about crime, poverty, or corruption. But tell me, which country today is completely free of crime? Which country today is free of corruption? I could continue asking such questions.

So, what is South Africa like? What kind of country is it?

A whole world in one country. Here, you will see dry and humid areas, deserts and the ocean, poverty and wealth, everyday shops and luxurious boutiques, from shacks to exclusive properties, and perfectly clean areas right next to unbelievable mess...

What does South Africa have that we in the Czech Republic can only quietly envy?

  • Geopolitical advantage: South Africa is a coastal state. We, as a landlocked country, are at a geopolitical and economic disadvantage.

  • Sunshine: In South Africa, you are guaranteed 65–75% sunshine throughout the year, whereas in the Czech Republic, we are happy to get 35–40%.

🌟 Standards That Exceed Europe

When I first set foot on South African soil in 2006, I was incredibly surprised. I was immensely taken aback by the cleanliness of the toilets—and I should note that this was true for both public and private establishments. The presentation and offerings in gastronomy, as well as the standard of accommodation, were similarly surprising. What was rated as, for example, a ** (2-star) standard in South Africa would easily correspond to a * (4–5 star) standard in the Czech Republic. This was, and still is, similar in the culinary sector.

The investment in local services means that you receive a luxurious standard for your money that we are generally not used to in Europe. For instance, Cape Town offers European-level infrastructure, luxurious properties, world-class wineries, and gastronomy.

Economic Strength and the Human Factor

South Africa (RSA) is the only truly food-sufficient country in sub-Saharan Africa. It is a global superpower in mining, possessing vast reserves of gold, diamonds, platinum, coal, and other strategic minerals. Its economic strength is undeniable.

RSA has a robust and predictable legal system based on Roman-Dutch and British law.

The nature of the people? They are very kind, friendly, and customer-oriented.

It probably seems like I am praising South Africa (RSA). Yes, I´m. The main point I want to make is that whenever you travel to any country—whether as a tourist or for business—you should seek information about it from people who know it personally. But specifically concerning the Republic of South Africa, do not rely on people who visit but only stay for a very short time and essentially know nothing about the country.

Do not rely on distorted information from the media, which sells fear. Rely on personal experience and verified partners who can guarantee you the true realities of the country.
